Somatic Experiencing® Case Consultations for Beginning Level Students
With Brad Beldner, SEP, GCFT
Whether you're just starting out or already working with practice clients, consultations are a space to deepen your understanding of SE, clarify material from your first-year training, and support your growth as a practitioner.
You don’t need to be actively seeing clients to benefit—there’s still a lot we can explore together.
What We Can Work On Together
🔍 Deepening SE Understanding
Review or clarify any concepts from the Beginning Year (e.g., orientation, pendulation, titration, discharge, coupling dynamics)
Apply SE principles to your personal process and embodiment
Build confidence in your ability to track sensation and support nervous system regulation
Identify and work through areas where you feel stuck or unsure
👥 Practice Client Support
Discuss current practice cases and develop strategies to go deeper or stay within the client’s window of tolerance
Explore how to gently guide sessions when you’re not sure what to do next
Learn how to track client activation and use resourcing creatively
✋ Touch Skills & Bodywork Integration
If you're a bodyworker, I can show you how to skillfully incorporate SE into your hands-on practice
Learn strategies for adding supportive touch into SE sessions
Explore how clients can use self-touch to regulate and deepen their experience
🔄 Blending Modalities
I can show you how I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) with SE—two approaches that blend beautifully
We can explore how SE complements your primary modality, whether it’s:
CBT, EMDR, or talk therapy
Yoga therapy or movement-based work
Craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, or energy work
Couples work or expressive arts
🧘♂️ Practitioner Support & Self-Regulation
Explore what personal material might be inhibiting your presence or confidence in sessions
Learn nervous system regulation tools for yourself and your clients
Strengthen your practitioner embodiment, boundaries, and pacing
My Background
I bring over 30 years of experience in somatic healing and trauma resolution. I’ve been a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner since 2005, an SE training assistant since 2006, and I am an approved session provider for all SE training levels.
My work integrates a wide range of somatic methods, including:
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Feldenkrais Method
Hakomi Method
Ortho-Bionomy
NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM)
NeuroAffective Touch
Integral Somatic Psychology (ISP) – Raja Selvam's method
Craniosacral and myofascial techniques
I also draw from my background in music, performance, martial arts, dance, and non-dual contemplative studies—all of which inform my embodied and creative approach.
